Implementation Guide

Video generation APIs: MV workflows and Vidu operations

Choose a video workflow, validate source media, estimate generation cost, and handle long-running tasks and output delivery.

Use MV when an existing song should drive a music video. Use Vidu Direct when you need a particular generation or media transformation operation.

Choose Fast, Studio, or an individual operation

MV Fast is designed for a finished music video with fewer editing steps. MV Studio exposes a more editable production flow with storyboard and scene decisions. Vidu Direct provides operation-specific inputs for video and other media. Compare the product controls against your required output rather than assuming the three paths are interchangeable.

Validate and quote before creating work

Confirm that source URLs are accessible to the service for the required processing period and that your user has permission to use the media. Check the selected model, duration, aspect ratio, and operation requirements. Obtain a quote where supported and set a spending limit before creating a batch or retrying a rejected concept.

Design for a long-running task

Save task IDs and show progress without keeping the browser request open for the entire generation. Completion estimates are not deadlines or guarantees. Handle terminal failures, avoid duplicate submissions, and review the finished video for audio sync and visual continuity. Download the accepted output before its resource link expires.

Start with the runnable quickstart and check the current API reference for request fields and limits.
